Boxes for Kevin in the news!

We are very excited that WDTN-TV  chose to highlight our efforts during their Five on 2 segment today.

A big shout out to Ethan Fitzgerald for his hard work in getting this story out.

The video and the story can be found here.

If you are new to our site or have not done so yet please like and share our Facebook page to your friends. The only way we can reach our goal is to increase awareness for our cause.

Thanks again to everyone who has liked, shared or donated to our cause. YOU are truly making a difference in the lives of those affected by infant loss.

Help us get a caring cradle

As you know, Boxesforkevin.com is donating 50 remembrance boxes to the hospital where Kevin was born. We have also decided to raise money to donate a Caring Cradle to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
Caring Cradles are specially designed to allow grieving families more bonding time with their baby who has passed away.
Please help families with a tool to allow an appropriate atmosphere to say goodbye to their baby.

Our first "In memory" themed box

We definitely have felt that we wanted to be able to something special for anyone who has been affected by infant loss.  We came up with the idea of making themed boxes in memory of those we have lost. This is our first one.

In the near future there will be a link to request one for your baby, or the baby of someone close to you.

Growing

New fabric has been bought and more bracelets have been made. It has been difficult for me to move away from elephants but I love this mommy and daddy fabric.

Our goal has been upped to 50 boxes this year, and we are looking at raising enough money to donate a cuddle cot to the hospital Kevin was born in.

Progress

Progress! The twins know these boxes are for the babies at the hospital but of course don't quite understand their purpose. Our daughter gets excited every time I finish a pink blanket. She especially likes todays. I had originally planned to make 23 because Kevin was born on the 23rd. I've added a few more but the original 23 all have elephant blankets. They will have more than 2 things in them upon completion but I am pleased with my progress so far.
